Accommodation
We provide accommodation at a trusted location. We'll be staying at a campsite equipped with access to hot and cold water. Next to it, there's a large room with a kitchen, as well as a hall with tables, chairs, and a fireplace, suitable for organizing meetings. The campsite also has direct access to the Kwisa River.
We aim for our camping spots, like Buryłówka Marina, to primarily offer peace and quiet, while also being diverse in character. We highly recommend swimming in the river – it's an unforgettable experience, especially for children. If you plan to swim, please bring biodegradable soap that won't harm the environment.
The River Kwisa
The Kwisa River originates in the Jizera Mountains, where three source streams – Widły I, II, and III – emerge at an altitude of 940-1090 meters. The river is 140.360 km long and ends its course in the Bóbr River near Żagań. The Kwisa is not overly difficult to navigate, and its water trail is very picturesque and diverse. The current is swift, the water is clean, and it's rich in fish. Beavers also inhabit the area, evident from the many trees felled into the river, and you might even spot playful otters. Much of the river is unregulated, so you'll often encounter fallen tree trunks and high riverbanks revealing geological cross-sections of the earth. The banks are lined with trees, among which impressive oaks particularly catch the eye. The pristine appearance of the Kwisa River Valley provides unique experiences and makes us want to return.
Why Should You Be There?
Participating in a kayaking trip organized by Tato.Net is not just an active vacation; it's also a mini-survival expedition for fathers and children. It's a time when you can talk without rush, away from daily responsibilities, school, and work. It's a time to minimize contact with civilization and build the relationship between child and father through challenge, physical effort, active recreation, and jointly undertaking new tasks. It means paddling, launching kayaks, pitching tents, taking turns, and enjoying meals on the grass and by the campfire.
Kayaking trips on the Kwisa are a popular form of active recreation for families and groups. The routes are varied and adapted to different experience levels.

Trip Details
Dates: August 14th - August 17th, 2025
-
August 14th (Thursday): Participant gathering and camp setup (5 PM - 6 PM)
-
August 15th - 17th (Friday - Sunday): Kayaking trip on the Kwisa River
Participants: Father and child (ages 5+)
August 15th (Friday) - Section 1: Nowogrodziec - Osieczów (19 km)
This 19-kilometer stretch of the Kwisa River, from Nowogrodziec to Osieczów, offers a chance to paddle through the Lower Silesian Lowland landscape. While some describe this part as a "boring lowland river with many artificial obstacles," it also flows through areas that were once part of the historical border between Silesia and Upper Lusatia, adding a sense of history to your journey. You'll pass towns like Parzyce and Zebrzydowa, and near Osieczów, you might find a "picturesque recreational complex." Expect beautiful natural surroundings despite the weirs mentioned along the way.
August 16th (Saturday) - Section 2: Osieczów - Ławszowa (14 km)
The 14-kilometer section between Osieczów and Ławszowa offers a bit more variety. Right after starting in Osieczów, you'll need to watch out for a weir, but then the river speeds up, and you might even find small rapids over old weirs, adding a touch of excitement. As you continue towards Ławszowa, the river starts to flow faster through forests. This section lets you immerse yourself in the surrounding nature as you paddle to your destination.
August 17th (Sunday) - Section 3: Ławszowa - Świętoszów (13 km)
The final 13-kilometer leg from Ławszowa to Świętoszów is described as the "nicest secluded section of the Kwisa, flowing swiftly through forests." This suggests a particularly scenic and peaceful part of your kayaking trip, where you can enjoy the fast-moving river through the woods. Keep an eye out for submerged tree trunks in the riverbed, which add a bit of a natural challenge as you navigate this beautiful section.
